A romantic foggy day on the Italian Adriatic beach, with seagulls charging to grab pieces of bread thrown into the water by a passer-by and a diaphone from a distant lighthouse playing every 30 seconds to help boat to reach the port.
In the beginning, I actually thought the diaphone was from a ship having trouble reaching the port. However the locals, soon after the recording, explained to me where the sound was coming from, and suddenly the reason why it was playing became apparent considering the weather.
The occasional explosions like fireworks you hear from distance are, according to the local people, some sort of hail cannon used by local farmers to disperse clouds. Yet I could not find any information on that.
